Smokefree Sheffield posters/leaflets for schools
Smokefree Sheffield, with support from ASH and local authorities across Yorkshire and Humber, have produced a comprehensive set of resources for schools to use:
- Two posters for display in school toilets, classrooms, canteens and noticeboards.
- An electronic leaflet for parents and carers to share via newsletters or emails. Vaping and e-cigarettes: the facts for parents and carers (PDF, 174KB)
- A short animated film to start discussions in PSHE lessons, form times and assemblies.
The resources gives the evidence-based facts about vaping to children and young people and supports schools, colleges, and parents to have conversations with children and young people about vaping so they can make informed decisions with the takeaway message being - don’t smoke, don’t start to vape. There are teaching resources available that support these posters such as a classroom presentation (PPTX, 7.1MB) for use by teachers alongside the animated film. Notes pages for the presentation (PDF, 3.4MB).
